I have not been able to maintain this space on Tumblr for a while now because of various factors, and - as I embark upon another year of life - I have a need to reorder and simplify my online life in a way that reflects my personality.
Having dabbled in various things over the years, there is one space to which I keep returning… my main blog, Island Potpourri. As such, I have revamped that space, and will be updating regularly there, as I move forward.
Feel free to come along and walk with me as I talk about island life, motherhood, health and my journey to sewing proficiency; share my reflections on the Word, as well as how I am navigating life on the endo diet; and post my favourite encouraging and uplifting links from around the web.
This is my final Tumblr post, but I hope you will come on over, put up your feet, and continue to share in the journey.

"Innocent and Condemned" by Elder Randy Skeete (by Remnant SDA Church)
'Potted Thyme'….. It started with one small bundle of thyme cuttings from the supermarket, which was pulled apart, dipped in rooting hormone and planted in medium-sized trays.
I moved them all to this one-gallon pot when they took off, but now I wonder if that was really the best thing to do……

When you need a drop-in table for a sewing machine, but you have no space for one…. you make it work. Who says a computer desk can’t be a multi-purpose station?
(What’s the aeroplane on the fabric for? I am so glad you asked….. The answer will be in my next post. :D )
With our temperature in the 90s, these guys have been turning up in unexpected places. This particular one appeared to be weighing the odds: Indirect noonday heat via aluminum kettle vs. direct noonday heat.
The human and amphibian perspectives have much in common at the moment, and any decision with regard to location seems akin to choosing between the proverbial frying pan and the fire, but God is faithful…..
I am thankful for electricity, standing fans, and the occasional whiff of island breeze…. Ahhhh!
Perspective is everything, isn’t it?
The Mystery of the Missing Gungo Pods has been solved….. Can you spot the culprit(s)?
SJ still managed to harvest two cups worth of fresh gungo peas from his plant, in spite of the ‘raiders’.
Praise be to Jehovah God who provides enough for his children, and does not fail to consider the birds of the air as well. :)
